What a Travel Advisor Actually Does for You

It's a fair question, especially when every hotel and cruise line will happily sell to you directly. Here's the honest answer.
How we're paid
For most cruises, resorts, and packages, the supplier pays the commission out of a rate they've already set. Your price is the same or better than booking direct. Complex custom itineraries sometimes carry a planning fee, and if that applies to your trip we'll tell you before you commit, never after.
What we handle before you go
We narrow hundreds of options down to two or three that actually fit your people, your budget, and the way you like to travel. We know which room categories are worth the jump, which resorts are mid renovation, which ports are easy on your own, and which promotions stack. We book the timed entries, the transfers, the dinner reservations, and the things that sell out.
What we handle when something goes wrong
This is the part people underestimate. Flights get cancelled, hurricanes change course, a resort loses power. When that happens at 11pm, you have a person who knows your booking and has a direct line to the supplier, instead of a hold queue and a chatbot.
We watch your booking after you book
If a price drops before final payment, we re-price it. If a better promotion appears, we apply it. Nobody at a booking site is doing that for you.
When it makes sense to book direct
One night at an airport hotel. A weekend at a chain you already love. A last minute domestic flight. These are the easy wins that often make sense to book yourself, and we'd rather tell you honestly than pretend everything needs an advisor.
That said, even those small bookings support our small business, so there's no harm in sending them our way. It helps us be here when you're ready for the big trip.
