150–200 passenger ships that dock in the center of town on rivers like the Danube, Rhine, Seine, Douro, and Rhône. Guided excursions in every port are included. Slower and more intimate than an ocean cruise.

You travel with a group (often 20–40, sometimes smaller) led by a professional tour director. Motorcoach transportation, hotels, most meals, and daily sightseeing are all planned. A great way to see a lot in one trip without a lot of homework.
