When to visit New Orleans
February and March
Mardi Gras and festival season. Electric, and priced accordingly.
April and May
Jazz Fest and near-perfect weather. Our favorite window, so book early.
June to September
Hot and humid with afternoon storms, and the lowest rates of the year.
October to January
Comfortable days, holiday decorations, and easy dinner reservations.
Questions we hear most
Is New Orleans good for families?
Yes. The aquarium, streetcars, City Park and beignets go over very well. We just place families a few blocks off the busiest streets.
Do we need a car?
No. The Quarter is walkable and the streetcar covers the rest. Tours pick up from hotels.
What about river cruises?
American paddlewheel sailings leave from here and are a wonderful way to see the river towns. We book those often.
