Saint Lucia or Turks and Caicos for Your Honeymoon?

Getaways by CCTC · October 8, 2026

Overwater bungalow above a clear turquoise lagoon

These two come up in nearly every honeymoon conversation we have, and they could not be more different. Both are wonderful. Only one is probably yours.

Saint Lucia in one paragraph

Green volcanic peaks, rainforest, waterfalls, and the Pitons rising straight out of the sea. It's the most romantic scenery in the Caribbean and the resorts lean into it: plunge pools, open walls, sunset views from bed. Beaches are pretty but small and mostly golden rather than white.

Turks and Caicos in one paragraph

Grace Bay is the beach people picture when they close their eyes. Powder sand, water in four shades of blue, calm and swimmable all day. The island is flat and quiet, the food scene is excellent, and there is very little to do beyond the water. That's either perfect or not enough.

Getting there

Turks is closer and easier from most of the country, often a direct flight of three to four hours. Saint Lucia usually needs more travel time and sometimes a connection, and the drive from the airport to the southern resorts is 60 to 90 minutes of beautiful, winding road.

Cost

Both are premium. Turks runs higher for comparable rooms, and there are fewer all inclusive options. Saint Lucia has strong all inclusive value, especially at adults only properties where everything is genuinely covered.

Best months

December through April is peak and gorgeous. May, June, and early July are quieter and noticeably cheaper. September and October are the rainiest for both.

How we'd choose

Want to lie on the most beautiful beach of your life and do nothing? Turks. Want scenery, adventure, and a room with a view you'll talk about for years? Saint Lucia.

Tell us your dates and we'll narrow it to two resorts you'll love.

Let’s plan it together
